Junior Development Club Training

Boys & Girls Born 2006 – 2009

The objective of Junior Development Club Training is to continue developing water polo skills and fitness over winter in preparation for DSC or Junior State League (JSL) in Summer 2023/24.

  • Suitable for girls and boys Born 2006, 2007, 2008 & 2009.
  • Two water polo sessions per week.
  • No discount for missed sessions.

Weekly training program commencing Monday, 1 May:

  • Monday 7.00 – 8.30 HBF DP (Girls)
  • Tuesday 7.00 – 8.30 HBF DP (Boys)
  • Wednesday 5.00 – 6.30 UWA (Girls)
  • Thursday 7.00 – 8.30 HBF DP (Boys)

Fees: $340 for both terms plus pool entry.

Boys & Girls Born 2010 to 2013

The objective of Junior Development Club Training for this group is to continue developing water polo skills and fitness over winter in preparation for FlippaBall and DSC or JSL B Grade in Summer 22/23.

  • For Flippa Ball and DSC players who are confident swimmers.
  • Suitable for Boys and Girls Born 2010, 2011, 2012 and 2013.
  • One session a week on Sunday.
  • No discount for missed sessions.
  • No training over July school holidays or on long weekends.

Weekly training program commencing Sunday, 7 May:

  • Sunday 1.00 – 2.30 UWA Aquatic

Fees: $180 for both terms.

Boys & Girls 13&u Born 2010 / 2011

The objective of the Junior Academy is to teach young players the base skills and techniques to enable them to progress into the club’s Junior State League u14 teams (JSL) in summer 2023/24, Northern Conference Performance Pathway Program (NCPPP) in winter 2024 and future state representation.

Participation requirements:

  • By invitation.
  • Multiple training sessions per week.
  • Additional swimming encouraged.
  • No discount for missed sessions.

Girls weekly training program:
Term 2:

  • Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday 4.30 – 6.00 HBF WPP (1 May till 9 June)
  • Tuesday, Thursday & Friday 5.00 – 6.30 HBF THAC (from 10 June)

Term 3:

  • Tuesday, Thursday and Friday 5.00 – 6.30 HBF THAC (till 10 September)

Fees: $480 for both terms plus pool entry.

Performance Pathway Program

The Performance Program is a high-performance program combining Water Polo Australia, Water Polo WA, WAIS and delivered by UWA Water Polo Club. The Western Australian Performance Program (WAPP) is designed to provide identified athletes with exposure to an elevated level of training and preparation during the off-season and to better prepare them for National Championships, and National pathway program selection while remaining based in Perth.

Objective
The ultimate objective of the WAPPP is to develop highly skilled players to participate in the two Western Australian AWL teams, UWA Torpedoes and Fremantle Mariners / Marlins and the Australian Senior Men’s and Women’s teams.

BOYS 19&u Born 2004 / 2005 plus Elite

  • By coach selection.
  • Confirm place with Club before registering – coaches will be conducting player assessments in the first two weeks of training.
  • Multiple sessions a week plus swimming plus gym.
  • Additional sessions may apply once State teams are selected.
